Wenn man den Vineyard Manager von Denner, Aron, fragt, was er am liebsten trinkt, dann sagt er sofort: den Theresa 2019. Der sei für ihn wie Urlaub. Oder zumindest nah dran. Und er sei so grossartig wegen all der Dinge, die NICHT gemacht wurden. Einfach nur ein top Weinberg, top bemuttert (von ihm natürlich), dann Weinwerdung. Und diese Rhône Rangerin namens Theresa hat alles im Griff – von Hammerbouquet über klare Frucht bis hin zum seidenweichen, klaren Trinkfluss ohne jede Behäbigkeit. Ein Wein zum Schwelgen!

Der Wein ist die weiße Spitzencuvée von Anthony Yount.
Zum Auftakt: Nektarine, Limone, Maracuja mit etwas Mineralität verwoben und der Duft von Blumen! Am Gaumen ist der erste Eindruck einer von Finesse. Steinfrucht, Geißblatt, Zitrus, etwas Wachs, Butter und Rauch. Schwerelos, gleichzeitig druckvoll und bei cremiger Viskosität. Finish: Tannine nicht wie vom Barrique, sondern eher wie von Mandeln, mit Saft und Länge, es bleibt ein Hauch von Jasmin und Geißblatt. KINERO- und Denner-Winemaker Anthony Young zeigt hier sein großes Feingefühl für Cuvées und die Reifung in Kombination von neutralen Barriques und Zement - eine wahre Schönheit.

Gerne karaffieren und kühlen, aber nicht allzu kalt aus Hermitage- oder Burgundergläsern genießen.

Vintage notes:
A cooler vintage with slightly above average rainfall. Long hangtime in the vineyard created wines with more savory flavors and supple tannic structure, while still holding vibrant acidities.

"Over 20 years ago, Ron Denner came to Paso and bought land on the Westside, realizing a dream that he had for years. The limestone deposits in this area gave Denner an advantage, promoting vine health, water retention, drainage and higher acidity in the finished wines. The business plan was to set up things right for the long haul.

Sustainable and environmentally friendly in its operation, it encompasses everything from dry farming when possible, organically farmed vines (but not certified), a gravity flow system, 100% solar and wastewater treatment on site. These practices seem to give the wines “a true representation of time and place”, and if you're familiar with Paso Robles, this liquid gold appears to capture it perfectly."
