We farm organically and sustainable – we are good stewards of the land. While I’m a proponent of natural I do believe in making clean wines and we do filter some of the wines – just like you filter your coffee.
Alkohol % vol.: 12,5

Haltbarkeit: Peak drinking now and for the next 1-2 years. Our Rosé is meant to be consumed soon after releases, we do find that about 6-9 months after release is when it really starts to let its hair down so to speak. The 2019 vintage for instance is showing very well right now and time in bottle allows everything to become more harmonious.

Winemakers comments:
The wine is blended with various lots of Counoise, Cinsaut, and other Grenache vineyards that were saignéed. Saignée is a winemaking process where we bleed off a portion of slightly pink juice from a red must right after crush.
Color: Very light pink with orange hues.
Aroma: Lively fresh creamy aromas of strawberry and watermelon with a hint of minerality.
Palate: Dry, crisp on the palate and very persistent. Fruitiness balanced with a touch of mouth-watering acidity and plenty of verve. This is a refreshing, dry spring and summer rosé for picnics and other activities.
Barrique? (Y/N): stainless steel tanks (and six barrels)
Vintage notes:
Santa Barbara County had a cool spring and mild summer temperatures that extended the growing season. Harvest began in the last half of August and the weather that Followed had the usual summer heat waves. It was a very quick and even harvest with yields that were average to below average helping to produce pronounced flavors and aromatics. Most importantly for us is that we did not have the fires that plagued the vineyards to the north. We are very happy with the quality of the wine and the “numbers” (pH, TA, Alc.) have been right on resulting in very balanced wines.

"The 2020 Margerum Rivera Rosé is delicate, refined, and finely structured. TASTING NOTES: This wine shines with lovely aromas and flavors of ripe fruit and dried earth. Pair it with fresh salmon and red tuna nigiri sashimi. (Tasted: May 27, 2021, San Francisco, CA)"
