Der Alliance Shiraz ist ein dunkler trockener Wein, der Aromen von dunklen Beeren, Kirschen und Pflaumen mit Anklängen an Schokolade verbindet. Komplexes und intensives Bouquet mit satten Brombeeren,Pflaume, Blüten, mit leicht rauchiger Note. Satter Gaumenauftritt, viel Fülle mit feingliedriger Struktur und vielversprechenden Gerbstoffen.
Er steht für einen körperreichen Stil von Wein, der sich selbst in der Jugend schon gut trinkt. Mittlerweile ist er noch dunkler und komplexer geworden und befindet sich im optimalen Trinkfenster.

Your favourite recipe for this wine:
Porchetta, slow-roasted in a smoker over an 8-12 hour period.
Deglaze the caramelized pan juices/pieces into a rich jus and serve with roast fennel and roasted whole garlic. Warm Ciabatta to soak up whatever is left on the plate!

Vintage:
Good soil moisture from a very wet 2014 winter was an advantage going into 2015. Dry and above average temperatures from August 2014 to January 2015 saw early flowering with low volumes of small bunches coming on early. For some in McLaren Vale it was an earliest ever start to vintage and with the dryer/above average temperatures the actual window for picking became condensed for most. For Shiraz there was a natural effect of thicker skins with excellent aid and balanced tannins.
