Klassische Cabernetnase, schwarze, blaue Frucht und die satt! Dazu dann ein voller Körper mit Beeren, Tabak, Trüffel, Vanille, Zeder und Schokolade. Das ausgenudelte Wort samtig trifft hier die Textur einfach genau, die Tannine sind dermaßen fein, und ja, das Finish ist superlang. Ich freue mich so sehr, dass wir diesen traumhaft schönen Cabernet-Blend für quasi die Hälfte des Originalpreises anbieten können.

The name Bellamy is taken from “Belle Amie,” or beautiful friend and features the object of Stanley’s affection on the label, where he can be seen on the outside of the wall, handing her a bouquet of flowers.

Das Weingut wurde so benannt, da seine Weine auch aus dem harten Kampf mit den Steinen des Terroirs aus dem Rocks District kommen und deren "Transformation" zu feinen Weinen sich innerhalb der "Mauern" der Zementtanks vollzieht, in denen hauptsächlich fermentiert wird – dazu kommt viel harte Arbeit und Teamwork. Die Weine aus dieser kleinsten aber gleichzeitig wohl einzigartigsten AVA des Landes verlassen dann diese Mauern voller Potential. Und erwarten ihre Chance, sich “draußen” zu beweisen. The Walls will auch, ganz ohne Zynismus, Mauern einreißen: Stanley (das Weingutsmaskottchen, das sich auf jeder Flasche findet) weiß, Wein kann dazu beitragen. Wein und sein gemeinsamer Genuss bringen Menschen zusammen. Es geht dann nicht um Gegensätze, sondern um Gemeinsamkeiten. Und um einige der spannendsten Weine eines der besten US-Terroirs.

Coming from the Rocks district of Walla Walla, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Bellamy is based on 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec, all raised in 68% new French oak. It has a great nose of dark berry, almost blueberry-like fruits as well as ample tobacco leaf, damp earth, baking spices, and chocolaty oak. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and concentrated, it has velvety tannins, beautiful overall balance, and a great finish. It needs 2-4 years to integrate its oak (it's undeniably delicious today) and will have 15-20 years of longevity, if not longer. 2024 - 2046

A burst of black raspberries, plums, baking spice, rubbed sage and cocoa wafts up from the 2019 Bellamy. This is like pure silk on the palate, pleasantly sweet but also balanced, with zesty acidity enlivening its ripe red and blue fruits. It leaves the palate stained with sweet violet and lavender tones, along with gentle tannins adding a more tactile feel towards the close. What a beauty. The Bellamy is a highly promising blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec that was refined for 21 months in 65% new French oak. 2023-2030

The 2019 Bellamy is a delightful blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, with 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec. On the nose this takes on layers of bright dark fruits with chocolate and coffee ground accents. The palate is extremely elegant and refined, revealing layers of dark currants, kirsch and flinty undertones that mingle with good freshness and salinity. Glorious in its youth, this has another decade or more ahead of it. 2021-2033
